The worse the economy gets, the more people are looking for ways to save money and cut back on monthly expenses. Unfortunately for a lot of people that also means cutting back on food and medicine.

What if you could get your groceries, gas and medicine for FREE for life? Well, conveniently, someone thought of a way for you to do that.

Highlights of this company:

One time buy in of $200 plus $10 for a self-replicating website for a year. Can’t beat that.

Partnered with a grocery delivery company that has been around for years.

WalMart partnered with them to give you a choice to receive groceries delivered to your door, OR a gift card to WalMart for $200.

Easy steps to get your gift card: Join for $210 and refer 2 friends to do the same. Help them refer 2 friends each. When you have 6 people in your group, they mail you your gift card for $200 PLUS a check for $300. And then you “cycle” out of that matrix and start over again to get ready to receive another $200 gift card plus another check for $300. Forever.

Once you are in the system you NEVER have to put any more money in or recruit any more friends. Obviously the more people you refer, the more, and faster, you will get paid. As time goes on, you will “cycle” faster and faster.

There is also a residual aspect to this company, which I won’t get into here.

If you are they type of person who would like to get free groceries and gas, go here to find out more: ShopForFreeForLife.com

Keeping the big bucks in your pocket!

I just joined the eMarketing Association group on my LinkedIn site and they had an interesting story in regard to email marketing, so I thought I’d share it with all my fellow internet marketers in MLM’s.

EXAMPLE OF EMARKETING SUCCESS STORY:

One of the most important lessons I have learned this past year is that the timing of your email marketing can make a big difference in results. I have a conference promotion that goes to a select professional opt in email database. I found that by sending mail on Mondays vs.. Wednesdays our open rates increased from 30% to over 60% and click thorough went from about 5% to 9%. So by simply changing the day of our email we increased our results dramatically.

Excerpt from:
The Right to Lead,
by John Maxwell

WHAT GIVES A MAN OR WOMAN THE RIGHT TO LEAD?

It certainly isn’t gained by election or appointment. Having position, title, rank, or degrees doesn’t qualify anyone to lead other people. And the ability doesn’t come automatically from age or experience, either. No, it would be accurate to say that no one can be given the right to lead. The right to lead can only be earned. And that takes time.

The Kind of Leader Others Want to Follow

The key to becoming an effective leader is not to focus on making other people follow, but on making yourself the kind of person they want to follow. You must become someone others can trust to take them where they want to go. As you prepare yourself to become a better leader, use the following guidelines to help you grow:

Let go of your ego.

The truly great leaders are not in leadership for personal gain. They lead in order to serve other people. Perhaps that is why Lawrence D. Bell remarked, “Show me a man who cannot bother to do little things, and I’ll show you a man who cannot be trusted to do big things.”

Become a good follower first.

Rare is the effective leader who didn’t learn to become a good follower first. That is why a leadership institution such as the United States Military Academy teaches its officers to become effective followers first – and why West Point has produced more leaders than the Harvard Business School.

Build positive relationships.

Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less. That means it is by nature relational. Today’s generation of leaders seem particularly aware of this because title and position mean so little to them. They know intuitively that people go along with people they get along with.

Work with excellence.

No one respects and follows mediocrity. Leaders who earn the right to lead give their all to what they do. They bring into play not only their skills and talents, but also great passion and hard work. They perform on the highest level of which they are capable.

Rely on discipline, not emotion.

Leadership is often easy during the good times. It’s when everything seems to be against you – when you’re out of energy, and you don’t want to lead – that you earn your place as a leader. During every season of life, leaders face crucial moments when they must choose between gearing up or giving up. To make it through those times, rely on the rock of discipline, not the shifting sand of emotion.

Make adding value your goal.

When you look at the leaders whose names are revered long after they have finished leading, you find that they were men and women who helped people to live better lives and reach their potential. That is the highest calling of leadership – and its highest value.

Give your power away.

One of the ironies of leadership is that you become a better leader by sharing whatever power you have, not by saving it all for yourself. You’re meant to be a river, not a reservoir. If you use your power to empower others, your leadership will extend far beyond your grasp.

In The Right to Lead, you will hear from and read about people who have done these same things and earned the right to lead others. Because of the courage they found and the character they displayed, other people recognized their admirable qualities and felt compelled to follow them.

The followers who looked to these leaders learned from them, and so can we. As you explore their worlds and words, remember that it takes time to become worthy of followers. Leadership isn’t learned or earned in a moment.
~John Maxwell

‘Don’t give up’

According to the Korean Driver’s Licence Agency, the 50-minute written test consists of 50 multiple-choice questions on road regulations and car maintenance.

Mrs Cha had been trying to pass it since 13 April 2005, the Korea Times reported.

She wanted a licence so that she could use a vehicle to sell vegetables and other goods, the newspaper said.

And her determination to pass the test has made her well-known at the Jeonju centre.

“She is really famous here. Not only agency employees but even some test-takers know her. Her challenging spirit is really amazing,” one official was quoted as saying.

Speaking in February – after her 775th failure – Mrs Cha had appeared undaunted.

“I believe you can achieve your goal if you persistently pursue it,” she told Reuters news agency.

“So don’t give up your dream, like me. Be strong and do your best.”

Although you may have read Napolean Hills works before, it’s always good to review his sound principles from time to time, to remind us of our priorities.

  Thoughts on Success
by Dr. Napoleon Hill

Definiteness of Purpose – Successful people move on their own initiative, but they know where they are going before they start.

Mastermind Alliance – No man can become a permanent success without taking others along with him.

Applied Faith – You can do it if you believe you can.

Going the Extra Mile – The most successful people are those who serve the greatest number of people.

Pleasing Personality – It is essential that you develop a Pleasing Personality – pleasing to yourself and others.

Personal Initiative – Today’s employer usually is yesterday’s employee who found opportunity waiting for him at the end of the second mile.

Positive Mental Attitude – Keep your mind on the things you want and off the things you don’t want. Remember the old proverb: “Be very careful what you set your heart on, for you will surely achieve it.”

Enthusiasm - To be enthusiastic – act enthusiastically!

Self-Discipline – Direct your thoughts, control your emotions, and ordain your destiny!

Accurate Thinking - Truth will be truth, regardless of a closed mind, ignorance or the refusal to believe.

Controlled Attention – Keep you mind on the things you want and off the things you don’t want!

Teamwork – Harmonious cooperation is a priceless asset which you can acquire in proportion to your giving.

Adversity and Defeat – Remember: Every defeat, every disappointment and every adversity carries with it the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.

Creative Vision - The imagination is the workshop of the soul wherein are shaped all plans for individual achievement.

Maintenance of Sound Health – If you think you’re sick, you are.

Budgeting Time and Money – Tell me how you use your spare time and how you spend your money, and I will tell you where and what you will be ten years from now.

Cosmic Habitforce – You are where you are and what you are because of your established habits and thoughts and deeds.

HANDBOOK 2009

Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants…
4. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2008.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

Personality:
11. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don’t over do. Keep your limits.
14. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree….

Society:
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29.. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change..
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up..
37. The best is yet to come.
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

This past week I attended a network function where we listened to a CD of motivational speaker, Bryan Dodge on some of his Closing Tips that he uses in business. If you’re the kind of person who likes to be a successful entrepreneur and have the edge on your competition, then you’ll appreciate these closing tips. I’d like to share my notes and highlights with you.

7 Characteristics of a Strong Close

Enter every interview expecting a decision

Make the purpose of the call clear on the first call

Qualify the prospect

Build the close from the start of the sale; be a person of conviction

Make the decision that is best for the client …. Lead the people through questions to come to a decision

Believe in yourself, have confidence

Know the difference between excuses and qualifying questions

Remember, in the end they’re buying “you.”

20 Steps To Close

Hypothetical – “If you could set aside the issue that’s keeping you from deciding…..”

Money is a key factor – “Wouldn’t you agree this price is fair after you’ve looked at this product?”

Last stand close - “This is a great opportunity…” (when everything is right but they won’t make a decision)

Do or Die - “Time is important – in respect of our time, with all the facts and benefits before you, what is your final decision?”

80/20 – Everything has good and not good points. Focus only on the good points of your product.

Best story close - Covers trust, service, price… “In the past this company made a wrong choice, but couldn’t afford to do that again.” (this company is the person’s company who you are selling to)

Take away close – (this will set you apart from the rest). “I’ve enjoyed my time with you and I’ve come to a conclusion…this product is not the best for you.”

Getting the appointment to close - Imagine if the solution was available…. Benefits, time freedom, what if…?

Demonstration close – (test drive)

Decision close - Explain why it is necessary to make a decision. Show some reasons why people have bought this product.

Temperature close - “Things are moving quickly. Why don’t you start out slowly; stick you toe in the water…take the first step.”

Benefits close - “Before you make a decision….have I given you enough information to decide?”

Scissor close (powerful) – 90% of the buying decision is based on 10% of the benefit of the product. Keep mentioning these benefits.

Double option – Either way they win. Have little ways to move forward. “By the way, do you want the product delivered to your house of office? We can set it up for quarterly or would monthly delivery be better? Would you be the one training others?”

Silence close - Ask for the order and Be Quiet and Listen! Say something like “when I was growing up and my mom was silent, it meant consent. Haha”

Boomerang – They come back and answer themselves. “I’m busy too…let’s set up a commitment to talk so I can show you how to save time.”

I want to think it over - “Thank you, take more time to look it over. I realize how hard it is to get these things done. There are a lot of details involved…let me help.”

Objection - “Thank you for making my day. Everyone has an objection, but are also interested. Let me make sure we can solve them, or it won’t make sense to move ahead.”

Truth of Diminishing Intent - They meant to respond, but forgot…

Be the teacher.

Practice role playing these objections and scenarios with a team member to perfect your rebuttals.

5 Things You Never Knew Your Cell Phone Could Do

FIRST – Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself
out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency,
dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish
the emergency number for you, and interestingly, this number 112 can be
dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

SECOND – Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy
someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys In the car and
the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone
from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car
door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the
mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from
having to drive to you with your keys. Distance is no object. You could be
hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has
the other ‘remote’ for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the
trunk).

THIRD – Hidden Battery Power
Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys
*3370#.
Your cell phone will restart with this reserve and the instrument will
show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you
charge your cell phone next time.

FOURTH – How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone’s serial number, key in the following Digits
on your phone: *#06#. A 15-digit code will appear on the screen.
This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it
somewhere safe.

When your phone is stolen, you can phone your service provider and
give them this code.
They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief
changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You
probably won’t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can’t
use/sell it either.

If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing
mobile phones.

FIFTH – Free Directory Service for Cells

Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411
information calls when they don’t have to.
Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicle, which
makes this situation even more of a problem.
When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial:

(800)FREE411, or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all.

Program this into your cell phone now.
